About

My name is Jo and I run Bay Gardening Services. I am passionate about gardening and have always loved helping people get the most from their gardens. In 2018, I took the decision to leave the legal profession behind to pursue my dream career. In January 2019, I became a full-time gardener and set up Bay Gardening Services.  Originally based in Fife in Scotland, I have recently relocated to Cumbria.  I was very sad to leave behind some lovely clients and their gardens in Fife but I am looking forward to finding new clients and gardens to maintain in Cumbria.

I am a trained gardener, having completed the RHS (Level 2) Certificate in Principles of Horticulture and a year-long trainee programme through WRAGS. Through WRAGS, I helped maintain two gorgeous gardens: Kirklands (in Saline, Fife), with its exemplary walled fruit and vegetable garden, extensive herbaceous borders and very efficient composting system, and Kilbryde Castle gardens in Dunblane, who’s estate consists of many formal herbaceous borders, woodland garden and wild garden.

Bay Gardening Services specialises in garden maintenance and soft landscaping, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, leaf clearance, pruning, planting, watering and weeding. To ensure your garden is kept looking its best throughout the year, I also provide a regular scheduled maintenance service.

Bay Gardening Services offers a reliable and professional gardening service covering Allerdale and north Copeland in Cumbria.
